The Orfento Valley is one of the most beautiful and best preserved Majella through the establishment of the homonymous Natural Reserve that, although already in a National Park, protects the more naturalistic features. In this trek we will climb the lower middle course starting from the vicinity of the town of Caramanico Terme.

This valley strike you with enchanting views, between rocks carved by the constant flow of water and lush vegetation, making it one of the greenest and unspoiled Majella.

Even on the hottest days the Orfento river offers refreshing with its fresh swirling waters, making pleasant walk and full of photographic ideas.

In the dense vegetation of oaks, hornbeams and maples finds shelter a rich wildlife: wolves, bears, deer, deer and otters. And looking up you can see the silhouettes of peregrine falcons, lanari and golden eagles.
