The excursion starts from Loc. Balzolo in the municipality of Pennapiedimonte, picturesque village perched on a rocky ridge to the gorge of the river Avello. The easy path is wedged in the deep valley offering picturesque views on this area of deep canyons of Majella. We meet pastoral caves and typical Mediterranean vegetation, to be followed by a cool beech forest in which the clear stream Avello swirling down. Once at Our Lady of the sources each participant can decide whether to proceed to the beautiful waterfalls of Linaro of wild and at times steep off-trail to get to a hidden wild side vallecola Vallone delle Tre Grotte, or wait in the picnic the return of those who decide to go to the waterfalls.

PROGRAM:
Ore 8,30 – Participants meet at the Observatory of the Sea, waterfront C. Colombo north, San Salvo Marina and travel by own car.
Ore 10,15 – departure excursion
Ore 12,30 – Stop at the Madonna delle Sorgenti (possible separation of the group)
Ore 14,00 – Linaro of waterfalls
Ore 18,00 – excursion order
Ore 19,30 – Return to San Salvo
RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT:
long pants, spare T-shirt, sweatshirt, windproof jacket, cape / poncho for rain, hiking boots, packed lunch, 1,5 l of water per person, comfort food, bonnet, Sun lotion.

REGULATION EXCURSION
