The tour in question will take some of the most beautiful places in the Natural Regional Park Velino – Sirente. We're going to know Pagliare, stone buildings that make up an ancient village at altitude once frequented by farmers and ranchers residing in the countries of the valley Aterno. All around we will be surrounded ba beech woods out of sight dominated by the majestic rock face of Mount Sirente. We will then visit the City of Fontecchio, medieval village with its magnificent fountain. Finally we will visit the Stiffe Caves, the most striking of Abruzzo caves inside of which flows a perennial river that gives life to many and tallest waterfalls.
PROGRAM:
08.00 – Observatory of the Sea-out – waterfront C. Colombo north side, 66050 San Salvo (CH)
10.30 – Check excursion and visit to Pagliare
13.00 – Packed lunch
14.30 – Visit the historic center of Fontecchio
16.00 – Visit the Caves of Stiffe (entrance ticket 10 €, if the group will be greater than 20 7,5 €)
19.00 – Back at the Observatory of the Sea
RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT: sweatshirt, windbreaker, cape / poncho for rain, hiking shoes or sneakers with no smooth sole, water, bonnet, camera.
The participation fee (excluding cost of the ticket Stiffe Caves) It will vary based on the number of participants:
€ 20 gives 8 a 10 – € 15,00 gives 11 a 15 people – € 10,00 gives 16 people upwards – free for children under 12 years.
They accept reservations no later than noon 12,00 on Saturday 2 May. Such term is intended also for any cancellations.
Participation is open to all prior association membership (or renewal for the current year) at a cost of € 10 (membership is included in the participation fee excursion). The registration will be valid for the entire membership year 2015.
It is recommended to members to bring along the card in order to indicate the outputs carried out. Please note that each 4 carried out you are entitled to a free output.
