Among the Marsicani Mountains, on the border with the National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise, a heart beating with life is hidden, the Lake of Scanno.
The proposed excursion develops along a circular route that from the magnificent village of Scanno will lead us to the panoramic point from which it is possible to admire Lake Scanno, which from this specific observation point takes the shape of a beautiful heart in the green of the mountains that frame it. Along the so-called Path of the Heart we will reach the shores of the lake, and we will return to Scanno to stroll through its suggestive alleys and discover its history and traditions.

PROGRAM
Ore 10:00 Meeting of participants at the parking in Via degli Alpini in Scanno and delivery of completed participation forms
Uphill walk from the village of Scanno to the panoramic point from where the lake appears in the shape of a heart and descent to the shores of Lake Scanno (4 km).
Ore 12:30 Packed lunch on the shores of Lake Scanno.
Walking tour of 2,5 km uphill to return to the village of Scanno around hours 14:00.
OPTIONAL:
Ore 14:15 Coffee stop at the Pan dell’Orso pastry shop to taste the traditional Scannese mostacciolo.
Ore 15:00 Walk in the village of Scanno with a visit to the church of S. Maria della Valle and the goldsmith shops that perpetuate the ancient tradition of Scannese goldsmiths.
Ore 16:00 End of experience
NECESSARY EQUIPMENT:
Trekking or trail running boot, at least 1 liters of water, spare t-shirt, pile, windbreaker, rain cape / poncho, packed lunch.

REGULATION EXCURSION:
The event will take place to achieve the minimum number of 10 participants and a maximum number of 15. The guides reserve the right to make changes to the program depending on the meteorological conditions.
