From the highest point of the village of Palmoli, a 700 m s.l.m., the Marchesale Castle dominates the Valle del Treste with its unusual decagonal tower. Inside of, the Museum of Rural Life preserves objects from the daily life of the past, placed in perfectly reconstructed domestic environments. Spectacular views from the top of the tower, which ranges to 360 degrees on Abruzzo and Molise, from the Adriatic to the Majella up to the Matese Mountains.
On the side of the hill facing north-west, a dense oak forest extends, noto come Bosco Romelle, crossed by a ring path. The walking tour of 6,5 km will allow us to immerse ourselves in the dense vegetation of the Site of Community Interest, and to enjoy splendid views over the valley.
