The Regional Nature Reserve of Torino di Sangro Lecceta extends about 165 hectares from the mouth of the Sangro river to the hill overlooking the most important stretch of Mediterranean forest wreck, and above which there is the famous and evocative of British War Cemetery. The morphological and microclimatic variability means that different habitats are present of which the largest is representative is the forest of oaks and downy. With 465 plant species, 232 lepidopteran species, 60 birds and, mostly, one of the few place on the Abruzzo coast where there is a small natural population of terrestrial turtle (Testudo hermanni), symbol of the Reserve.

PROGRAM:
Ore 9,00 – Participants meet at the Observatory of the Sea, waterfront C. Colombo north, San Salvo Marina and travel by own car.
Ore 09,30 – Start hiking at Natural Reserve Lecceta of Torino di Sangro
Ore 15,30 – excursion order
Ore 16,00 – Return to San Salvo Marina

RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT:
long pants, spare T-shirt, sweatshirt or fleece, windproof jacket, cape / poncho for rain, hiking boots or sneakers with thick soles (preferably waterproof), packed lunch, 1,5 Liters of water per person, comfort food, bonnet, Sun lotion.

The fee will vary depending on the number of participants:
€ 15,00 gives 7 a 10 people – € 10,00 gives 11 people

They accept reservations no later than noon 12,00 on Saturday 14 March. Such term is intended also for any cancellations.

Participation is open to all prior association membership (or renewal for the current year) at a cost of € 10 already included in the event registration fee. The registration will be valid for the entire association year 2015.

It is recommended to members to carry the card in order to indicate the outputs carried out. Please note that each 4 carried out you are entitled to a free output.
