Ring excursion in the Treste Valley, one of the most fascinating valleys of the Frentani Mountains, in the southernmost sector of the province of Chieti, in Abruzzo. The walking route develops mainly on paths immersed in nature, starting from the Sanctuary of the Beato Angelo, in the historic center of Furci. The climb to Colle Castagna will allow you to enjoy a wide panorama that ranges from the Maiella to the Gran Sasso, from the Matese Mountains to the Gargano. The visit to the Quercia del Vallone will be of great interest, the oldest monumental oak in Abruzzo.

PROGRAM:
Ore 08:30 - Participants meeting at Piazza Beato Angelo in Furci (CH). Participants will be sent exact location on Google Maps.
Ore 10:30 - Arrival at the Quercia del Vallone.
Ore 13:00 - Return to Piazza Beato Angelo and end of the excursion.
Possibility to book the optional lunch at the affiliated structure La Locanda del Brigante.
EQUIPMENT: trekking or trail running boots, sweatshirt or lightweight batteries, anti windbreaker, at least 1,5 liters of water, comfort food, cape / poncho for rain, T-Shirts parts.
