The Pizzi Mountains are soft clay mountains covered by woods from which emerge occasionally sharp rocky monoliths, giving precisely the name of this mountain chain watershed between Val di Sangro and the plateaus Majella More. The landscape of these mountains is characterized by the presence of extensive pastures in spring turn into colorful palette for the presence of many flowers, in winter are great places to walk with snowshoes to toe.
The proposed route will make a round trip around the two highest peaks of this mountain massif, Mount Secine and Mount Basilio, giving us vast landscapes of Abruzzo and Molise as well as suggestive passages through woods and snowy meadows.
In case of missing or little snow the tour will be held without snowshoes.

Ore 15.00 - end of the excursion.
EQUIPMENT NECESSARY: snowshoes (hired through the Association), waterproof hiking boots, pile, possibly waterproof trousers winter, anti windbreaker, gloves and winter cap, at least 1 liters of water, packed lunch, cape / poncho for rain / snow.
RECOMMENDED: Sun lotion, parts to be left in the car.
