In collaboration with Amoroso Viaggi, we offer you an easy snowshoe hike in the heart of the Marsica, in the northernmost sector ofNational Park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise. The path of4 km develops at the foot of theMonte Turchio, where the second longest river in Abruzzo is born, theSangro. The presence of a rich wildlife will be revealed by the footprints that we will have fun tracing and recognizing in the snow.Foxes, hares, wolves… And maybe evenbearsreluctant to hibernate!
The snowshoe hike will lead us to the blockEcorifugio of Cicerana, located at1560 m above sea level, where we can enjoy an extraordinary view of theCicerana Valley, onancient beech trees, a World Heritage Site, and we will be able to look up to the imposing mountains ofSirente-Velino Regional Park.
In the comfortable warmth of the refuge, there is nothing better than eating onepolenta in good company, before resuming the journey that will bring us back to the starting point.
