The proposed route runs through part of the last stage of the Way of St. Thomas, the now famous pilgrimage that combines Rome to Ortona and the Apostle Peter Thomas. The initial part of the excursion will be all inside the Natural Park of the Annunciation, a fresh valley enclosed between hills sabbione hinterland Ortona. We continue through the medieval village of Crecchio, with its magnificent Ducal Castle, to finish the journey in Dora Sarchese cellar, where is the famous Fountain of Wine. A route through nature, history, flavors and culture that are the essence of our magnificent land of Abruzzo.

PROGRAM:
Ore 8,00 – Participants meet at the Visitor Center of the coastal dune Biotope, waterfront C. Colombo north side, San Salvo Marina and travel by own car. To different sources, the appointment is expected at the exit from the highway at Ortona or directly at the place of beginning of the excursion.
Ore 09,30 – Start excursion from the Convent of the Holy Announced – C.da Feuduccio, Orsogna (CH).
– Packed lunch
Ore 14,30 – Arrival at the town of Crecchio and walk in the historic cenro
Ore 16,30 – Dining at the Fountain of Wine within the cellar Dora Sarchese, with tasting of local products and wine from the cellar.
Ore 19.00 – Return at the Visitor Center of the coastal dune Biotope of San Salvo.
MANDATORY EQUIPMENT:
sweatshirt / fleece, windproof jacket / softshall, cape / poncho for rain possible, hiking boots, 1,5 l of water per person, comfort food, packed lunch.

REGULATION EXCURSION
